An FX Replay alternative for futures traders

If you trade ES or NQ, you don’t need forex pairs, stocks and crypto in your backtesting tool. You need clean futures data, real resting orders and a price low enough that daily practice is an easy yes.

What you get with Charts Replay

  • ES (E-mini S&P 500): 2016-01-03 to 2026-10-01, 3.78 million one-minute bars at true traded prices — 78 monthly contracts stitched by volume crossover with no spread adjustment, so historical levels are prices an order could really have been worked at.
  • NQ (E-mini Nasdaq-100): 2016-01-03 to 2026-10-01, 3.76 million one-minute bars at true traded prices — 44 quarterly contracts stitched with the same roll rule as ES, no spread adjustment.
  • Resting orders that have to be reached. Limit, stop, stop-limit and bracket orders are matched on every one-minute bar, whatever timeframe you view.
  • A full audit trail. Every placement, fill and cancellation is stored with the session, including orders that never filled.
  • A review report. Net P&L, win rate, profit factor, payoff ratio, maximum drawdown, an equity curve, a trade calendar, and MAE/MFE for every trade.
  • A daily challenge. One trading day per game, a $100,000 account, a stop and target on every entry, risk capped at 10% of balance, scored in R.

Why price basis matters

Most continuous futures series are back-adjusted: when the front month rolls, history is shifted so the chart has no gap. That keeps the shape honest but moves every historical level, and the further back you go the further the chart drifts from where the market actually traded. If you backtest limit orders at round numbers or prior highs, that shift matters. Charts Replay keeps both ES and NQ at true traded prices.

When FX Replay is the better pick

  • You backtest forex, crypto or stocks as well as futures.
  • You need seconds-level data or more futures contracts than ES and NQ.
  • You want journaling, AI analysis and multi-chart layouts in the same tool.
