Go back to any minute in history
Pick a contract and a starting point, and the market moves forward bar by bar from that minute. Replay continuously or drill one fixed window a day, at 2× to 60×, switching between eight timeframes from 1m to 1D.
Backtest ES and NQ futures on one-minute market replay: place real limit, stop and bracket orders, then pull each decision back up afterwards instead of remembering a single number.

Replay, place orders, keep the trail, keep sessions apart. From picking a stretch of market to reviewing every trade, it all lives in one session.

Limit, stop, stop-limit and bracket orders. Fills are judged on one-minute bars regardless of the chart timeframe: an order placed on a 4-hour chart fills in the minute price touched it.
The bar you placed it on, the market price at that moment, the bar that filled it, the bar you cancelled it on — all kept. Orders that never filled are there too; what you cancelled often says more about your thinking.
Each session has its own account and its own drawings. A box drawn on the 15-minute chart stays put on the 1-minute. Close the browser, switch machines, sign in again — everything is where you left it.
Grind at your own pace, or play one scored game a day under fixed rules.
Your contract, your start, your pace
Pick a contract and a starting point and go, on whichever stretch of the market you want. Every session keeps its own books, so one strategy can be worked over and over.
One game a day, scored in R
Each puzzle is one trading day: open at 09:30 New York time, settle at the 16:00 close — replay will not go past it. The daily puzzle is the same for everyone, one game a day; random puzzles are drawn from the whole history, as many as you like.
One report, four views. Every number is computed from the fill ledger and traces back to a specific trade.
Net P&L, win rate, profit factor, payoff ratio and maximum drawdown, with an equity curve measured against your starting capital.
Each trading day coloured green or red, and only the days you actually traded. Which days went well and which days you should have stopped is visible at a glance.
Entry and exit time and price, holding period, maximum favourable and adverse excursion, net P&L, and whether it ended at the target, the stop or by hand.
Including orders that never filled and ones you cancelled, with the market price when you placed them. Review the decision, not just the outcome.
Two CME futures contracts, itemised below. A different price basis changes whether a backtest can be taken at face value.

TradingView’s Replay trading can place limit, stop and bracket orders too, but according to its help center the trades and results exist only inside that session and aren’t saved, and how far back you can replay one-minute data depends on your plan. Here every placement, fill and cancellation is stored with the session and rolls up into a review report; fills are always judged on one-minute bars, so an order placed on a 4-hour chart fills in the minute price actually reached it; and ES one-minute history back to 2016 comes with every plan.
Against the high and low of each one-minute bar, whatever timeframe is on screen: limits fill when price reaches them, stops when price crosses them. The fill price is taken against that bar’s open — a buy limit resting at 5000 on a bar that opens at 4990 fills at 4990, while a stop that is gapped through fills at the worse open, plus slippage. When several orders trigger in the same bar, stops match before limits.
No. Playback advances bar by bar: every one-minute bar is matched before it is drawn, so advancing 100 bars at once gives exactly the same result as advancing them one at a time. Fills are saved automatically and retried when the connection hiccups, so nothing is lost.
Score = net P&L ÷ 1R. 1R is fixed at $2,000 when the game opens — 2% of the $100,000 account — every entry must carry a stop, and any order whose stop distance × size exceeds 1R is rejected. Scoring in R lets ES and NQ games sit side by side.
ES is stitched from 78 monthly contracts by volume crossover with no spread adjustment, so historical levels are prices you could genuinely have worked an order at. NQ comes from a single vendor as one file per trading day and is back-adjusted — roll gaps are smoothed away, so shape, volatility and volume are real but every level is shifted, increasingly so further back. ES fills can be used directly; on NQ, read the structure. That difference is printed on the data card.
Yes. Drawings are stored separately from chart layout, attached to the session, in time-and-price coordinates rather than screen coordinates — which is why a box drawn on the 15-minute chart sits exactly where it should on the 1-minute. Close the browser, switch machines, sign in again: open that session and it is still there.
